Coming from the North or South - via Route 28

- Allegheny Valley School District is located off Route 28 at Exit 12 (Cheswick).  From there:

If you are going to the Business Office, the Superintendent’s Office, or Acmetonia Primary School turn right at the end of the off-ramp.  Proceed approximately 100 yards to an intersection.  At the stop sign, turn left.  Continue on this road (Russellton Road/Pearl Avenue).  You will pass the Syria Mosque on your left.  Directly after you pass the Mosque and go under a train trestle, the Acmetonia Primary School sits on the left-hand side.  The main office to the Acmetonia Primary School sits directly in front of the parking lot.  The Business or Superintendent’s Office sits below the parking lot to the right.  A walkway leads to these doors and is clearly marked. 

If you are going to Colfax Upper Elementary School turn left at the end of the off ramp.  Continue to the stop sign and make a right onto Pillow Avenue.  Continue on Pillow, down a large hill until you come to a traffic light.  Make a left turn onto Pittsburgh Street and continue on the road through one traffic light.  At the second light at Colfax Street, a Borga’s beauty shop sits to the right, you will want to take a left up the hill.  Continue until the first stop sign.  The school is on right hand side of the block after the stop sign.  Take a right hand turn onto Rosslyn Avenue, the road above the school building.  Approximately 20-30 yards down the street, there will be a small parking lot to your right.  If the lot is filled, you can park on the street.  The office to Colfax is through both sets of main doors and to your right.

If you are going to Springdale Jr-Sr High School turn left at the end of the off ramp.  Continue to the stop sign and make a right onto Pillow Avenue.  Continue on Pillow, down a large hill until you come to a traffic light.  Make a left turn onto Pittsburgh Street and continue on the road through one traffic light.  At the second light at Colfax Street, a Borga’s beauty shop sits to the right, you will want to take a left up the hill.  Continue through the first stop sign (at Colfax Upper Elementary School) to the second stop sign.  You will pass the high school on your right.  At this second stop sign (Butler Road) you will make a right turn.  Continue on this road until it curves around a bend.  At the end of a bend, the beginning of a driveway will be on your right.  Turn right onto the driveway and continue until you find an empty parking spot.  The main office of the high school is located in the circular area of the yard.  Enter through doors directly in front of the office.

- Coming from the West or East - via the Pennsylvania Turnpike

Allegheny Valley School District is located off the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Exit 48 (old Exit 5)

(Allegheny Valley).  From the tollbooth, go straight toward Cheswick/Springdale areas.  The off-ramp will loop around and under the turnpike on to old Route 28.  From there:

If you are going to the Business Office, the Superintendent’s Office, or Acmetonia Primary School continue on the road until the first traffic light.  Clyde and Patti’s Lounge will be on your left and the Allegheny River will be to your right.  At that light you want to turn left.  This road will take you past a small church and up a hill.  At the top of the hill on the right will be Acmetonia Primary School.  If you go under the train trestle, you have gone too far.  The main office to the Acmetonia Primary School sits directly in front of the parking lot.  The Business or Superintendent’s Office sits below the parking lot to the right.  A walkway leads to these doors and is clearly marked.

From the South
1. Take Route 28 north to Exit 12 (Cheswick/Springdale).
2. Make a left at the stop sign.
3. Go a short distance to another stop sign and make a right (Pillow Avenue).
4. Proceed on Pillow Ave. down the hill to a stop light, make a left onto Freeport Road.
5. Continue on Freeport Road until you reach the second stop light (one mile).
6. Make a right onto Colfax Street (Roberts Carpeting will be on your right).
7. Make the first left onto Lincoln Avenue.
8. Go through three stop signs.
9. The field is on the right just past the third stop sign.

From the North
1. Take Route 28 south to Exit 12 (Cheswick/Springdale).
2. Make a left at the stop sign.
3. Follow steps 3-9 above.

From the PA Turnpike
1. Take Exit 48, Old Exit 5 (Allegheny Valley).
2. After exiting the tollbooth stay to the left and take the ramp to Cheswick/Springdale.
3. The off-ramp will loop around and under the turnpike putting you on Freeport Road.
4. Continue on Freeport Road until you reach the fourth stop light (2.2 miles).
5. Follow steps 6-9 above.

From Oakmont (Jonathon Hulton Memorial Bridge)
1. Make a right after crossing the bridge onto Freeport Road.
2. Continue on Freeport Road until you reach the sixth stop light (3.8 miles).
3. Follow steps 6-9  above.

From New Kensington (C.L. Schmitt Bridge)
1. Make a left after crossing the bridge onto old Route 28.
2. Upon entering Springdale, veer to the left at the blue sign that says Welcome to Springdale Borough (this
is Lincoln Avenue and is slightly less than 1.5 miles from the C.L. Schmitt Bridge).
3. Go through four stop signs.
4. The field is on the left just past the fourth stop sign.
