Pay For It System

The Allegheny Valley School District has made arrangements to begin using the PayForIt.net program to help parents manage their child’s cafeteria account. This program was developed by QSP, LLC, and is a portal to a convenient, secure way to apply funds to a child’s account and check that account balance. PayForIt.net accepts credit card prepayments 24 hours a day with an automated update to the point-of-sale system at the school. Registration and credit card information is protected with the most advanced Internet security. Information provided is stored securely and privately. The District hopes that this addition will make it easier for parents to control their child’s cafeteria account. For additional information, please go to www.payforit.net.

Note: When transactions are processed through the site, a percentage based Internet Convenience Fee (ICF) or a flat Transaction Fee (or both) may be assessed to each transaction. This fee occurs only when money is added to an account. However, there is no fee for setting up an account, checking your child’s activity, or checking account balances. For information on the specific fee, please contact payforit.net.

eSchoolBook Parent Portal

Over the last year, the Allegheny Valley School District implemented a new student management system through the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU). This system will enable the District to use a student grading system called eSchoolBook, which will easily post grades, assignments, attendance, and other relevant student data on-line. In addition, this program will allow parents to have immediate access to this information.

The eSchoolBook program provides an opportunity for improved communication between parents, school administration, counselors, and teachers. A parent/guardian may review his or her child’s school assignments, upcoming events, grades, attendance, and course selections through a portal on the Internet. The District will roll-out the gradebook program for grades 4, 5, & 6 in late September, 2008. Exact dates for this events will be provided when it becomes available.

Access to the portal is available from the site; use the eSchoolBook link to the left to enter the program.

Global Connect

Used for emergencies or in the event of a major disruption to the school day, this system allows the District to call all parents, staff, and emergency personnel in minutes.  Parents are asked to provide the contact information and all numbers are entered into a database by secretaries.  The database is then divided by building, by staff and student, and by grade level to utilize as needed.
